Welcome to
The Rally Point

The free, supportive, farm-based space for veterans & soldiers to reconnect, rebuild & breathe easy again.

The Rally Point began as a quiet conversation at Cross Bank Farm, the kind that only really happens
when someone finally stops moving after decades of service.
After 31 years in the British Army, a Major stepped into retirement with all the grit, skill, leadership and calm-under-pressure you'd expect...but also the same question so many veterans and serving soldiers quietly face:
"Where do I belong now?"
Civilian life doesn't have the same rhythm that veterans are used to and for serving soldiers who are struggling, with injuries, burnout, life pressures or invisible weight, there often isn't a real place to breathe either. The banter, the camaraderie, the structure, the purpose...they're what hold people together.
And when they slip away, even for a moment, it can feel like the ground moves.
Cross Bank Farm gave him something back: the routine of daily animal feeds, the pull of animals relying on you, the quiet honesty of the land, the steady tasks that actually matter and the sense of being needed again. Watching this, something because very clear to both of us:
If one man can find stability & meaning here… then so could many others.
That’s how The Rally Point was born.
We’re not building a clinic.
We’re not trying to replace professional support.
And we’re definitely not here to tell serving soldiers or veterans how to “fix” themselves.
We’re building a place where you can simply turn up and be.
A place where you can gather eggs from the hens, check on and have a scratch with the pigs, help with fencing, plant something in the soil, work on small jobs around the farm or just sit with a brew and not have to talk
if you don’t feel like it.
A place where the air is clear, the work is honest and no one minds what you’re carrying,
we just appreciate you being here.
The Rally Point is built on the same principles that the Armed Forces run on:
purpose, routine, teamwork, humour, graft and looking out for each other.
For serving soldiers who feel themselves slipping and for veterans who feel unanchored,
we want The Rally Point to be exactly what it’s name suggests.
A place to gather.
Regroup.
Rest.
And move forward again.
Cross Bank Farm is the setting.
Those who served, and those who still do, are the reason.
And belonging is the mission.
A place for veterans & serving soldiers to breathe, rebuild and find steady ground again...side by side, never alone.
